Exhibit
FBI Badge |
This is an old FBI badge. This should be one of the artifacts because this little thing means so much to J. Edgar Hoover. He spent forty eight years in the FBI and it took up his whole life. |
Police Fingerprinting Kit One of Hoover's items should be a police fingerprinting kit. He's the one that really put this modern day activity to action. He wanted every single criminal to be caught. |

Masters of Deceit One of these items should definitely be J. Edgar Hoover's book that he wrote, Masters of Deceit, about his fear of communism. |

J. Edgar A copy of the movie, J. Edgar, because it accurately represents his life. |
![]() |
Dillinger Arrest A copy of the newspaper from when John Dillinger was arrested. J. Edgar Hoover took a lot of pride in being in charge of this project. |
Secret Files J. Edgar had secret files on many people, including all of the presidents he worked for in order to keep them from firing him. There is not a picture of the actual files because no one has ever seen them or actually knows what exactly is in them. President Nixon would definitely want to see these. After Hoover died, he tried to find them but Helen Gandy had already destroyed them.
The plaque with Hoover's name on it should be at the exhibit. He would be proud to know that a building was named after him.
New modern day forensic science should be at the exhibit because Hoover would like to see how far we have come since his time.
