AIDS has been mostly associated with homosexuals.
History of HIV and AIDS says, "In June 1982, a group of cases among gay men in Southern California suggested that the cause of the immune deficiency was sexual and the syndrome was initially called gay-related immune deficiency (or GRID). It is eighteen times more likely for a gay man to get AIDS than a straight one. Treatment had become a lot better for people suffering with HIV. "For the first time ever, more than half of the global population living with HIV are receiving antiretroviral treatment, a record of 19.5 million people."
